The magazine Diabetes Self-Management is now available by phone for those with a visual impairment. Articles from the magazine are made into electronic voice recordings through a hotline called NFB-NEWSLINE, which is a service provided by the National Federation of the Blind. To subscribe, call the National Federation of the Blind at (866) 504-7300. Subscription is free to anyone who is unable to read printed materials due to a disability.Other magazines available by phone as part of this service are AARP Magazine, The Economist and The New Yorker. A number of national and local newspapers can also be accessed this way. All magazines and newspapers are available to subscribers twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
