Rodeo wrestler chutes with diabetes on dLifeTV

Luke Branquinho, a World Champion Steer Wrestler, reveals his tricks to triumphing over diabetes on national television this coming Sunday. Learn how this tough cowboy has lassoed diabetes to the ground along with angry steers putting him on top of America's grueling professional rodeo circuit.

Luke is an inspirational athlete who has motivated other diabetics to follow their dreams. On an interview he gave to ESPN Prorodeo, he shares his words of encouragement, for one little girl in California. "She was only 5 or 6," Branquinho said. "And she was kind of down because she'd just gotten diagnosed with diabetes. She didn't think she could go play with her friends. I told her no way is it going to stop her." I know ladies- he's passionate about his work, a World Champion, and a sight for sore eyes (not to mention 6'0 tall). Alas, he's very much spoken for by his lovely wife, Lindsay.

Luke takes center arena this Sunday (September 17, 2006) on dLifeTV on CNBC at 7:00PM ET. Branquinho is passionate about facing the challenges that allow him to come out of the chute to wrestle steers, shots and diabetes. Luke reminds us that the spirit of the Old West is alive and well, and embodied in this modern day cowboy who travels the road, faces daily struggles and keeps the American spirit shining brightly.
